Sangini organised a meaningful and engaging dialogue with grassroots organisations working towards the effective implementation of the domestic violence law. The discussion brought together practitioners and stakeholders from shelter homes, mediation centres, counselling centres, UN Women, and members of the legal fraternity.
The dialogue was enriched by the valuable guidance and insights of Shri Suresh Tomar, Secretary, State Women’s Commission, who shared perspectives on strengthening coordination, accountability, and access to justice for survivors of domestic violence.
Several organisations, including Uday, Ekaa, Muskan, Sanhita, Jan Sahas, Aarambh, Nirbhaya, and Gharonda, participated actively in the discussion. The participating organisations shared their on-ground experiences, challenges, and practical suggestions for improving implementation mechanisms and ensuring survivor-centric responses.
The interaction provided an important platform for collective reflection, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among diverse stakeholders committed to advancing the rights, protection, and well-being of women at the grassroots level.
